Dr. Teeters is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Western Kentucky University (WKU), a licensed clinical psychologist, and the Principal Investigator for the TECH Lab. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Memphis in 2017 and completed her internship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her research focuses on substance use prevention and intervention, with a particular interest in using cutting-edge technology to deliver interventions tailored to reducing heavy substance use and substance-related consequences. She is devoted to developing and evaluating interventions that increase treatment access, engagement, and implementation in both college and community settings. Outside of work, Dr. Teeters loves walking/hiking with her husband and rescue pups, native gardening, listening to music and podcasts, and reading.

Sidney Traxler, B.S. Graduate Research Assistant
Sidney is a second year master's student in the Psychological Sciences graduate program at WKU. She joined the TECH lab as an undergraduate in 2022 and graduated with her B.S. in Psychological Sciences from Western Kentucky University in May 2023. Continuing working on Project SEMI, she assists with participant recruitment and providing mobile-based interventions. Her research interests include substance use in relation to traumatic experiences (i.e., sexual victimization). Outside of the lab, Sidney enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and hanging out with her dog.
Camryn Crass Research Assistant
Camryn is a research assistant in the TECH Lab. She graduated from Murray State University in May 2022 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and joined the lab in August 2023. Camryn is interested in the genetic components linked to substance abuse and the impacts of substance abuse/use on overall health. Currently, Camryn is enrolled in the University of Kentucky College of Medicine-Bowling Green Campus where she is a class of 2026 MD candidate. Outside of research, Camryn enjoys exercising and spending time outdoors with her two dogs, Max and Ruby.
Bradley Aguilar, B.S. Graduate Research Assistant
Bradley is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, receiving his B.S. in Clinical Psychology in 2023. While at UCF he worked at the REALE-Time Lab, assisting with developing new methods of recruitment for studies via social media and assisting with participants through informed consent sessions. During this time, he also assisted with several research publications that revolved around the analysis of protective behavioral strategies and sociocultural factors in drinking, being published in The Journal of Drug Education and Ethnicity & Health. Before coming to Western Kentucky University, he worked as a psychometrician at Crescent Therapy & Assessment Services, conducting mental health evaluations and performing a diverse assortment of psychometric assessments. His current research interests include substance use and mental health stigma in Latino and first-generation communities. Outside of research, Bradley enjoys science fiction, listening to a wide variety of different kinds of music, and cooking.
